For my auntie
I’ve been meaning to post these pictures for a while, since my Auntie wanted to see the quilts I’d made. So here they are. The first one is the first I ever made- for Zoe. The second is the quilt I made for Bruce for Christmas. I don’t have pictures of the quilt I made for Lizzie for Christmas, I’ll have to have her bring it up next time she comes so I can take some.

And my project of the morning- I’m starting Personal Progress over again (the program of goals that the Young Women of our church do) so I cut the PP book and journal apart and bound them together so I wouldn’t lose them and they’d look cute.
I love that little Personal Progress journal, and the quilts look great. How crafty you are! I just watch TV in my spare time…
You amaze me……doing Personal Progress again! What a fantastic idea. I love how you bound it too. That’s been a great tool for you and you’re using it in more ways than I would have imagined. I love the quilts! You did a really good job. I find that sewing really relaxes me and fulfills some kind of nesting need I seem to have (not so great of timing now that I’m going to be pretty much an empty nester!). I love to see what other people create and I’m so glad you shared these! Do you machine quilt or hand? I pay someone to long arm quilt for me but I tie picnic quilts with yarn.
I love the quilt you made for Bruce. I knew you were talking about making one for him for Christmas but I never knew you actually saw it through. Seriously impressed…
Do you have your own spiral notebook maker tool? I don’t even know what it would be called. But I love the PP idea! I want to do that, but I have no idea how.

I do have my own puncher/binder. It’s called the Zutter Bind-it-All. It’s a little pricy, but I’m finding so many uses for it. BUT, if you want, I can bind a PP set for you- or for Ravenna, I’m assuming. Does she already have one she’s using? If not, I can make one up for you and send it up with my mom next time she’s here…. if she does have a set she’s in the middle of using that could be a little more complicated, but we could still figure something out…. let me know.
I’m currently YW pres. so, I’m working on it, too. I think I let Ravenna recently switch to a new one, because one of our little people scribbled in hers.
I think it’d be cool to do for an activity with all (6) of the YW, if you’re willing and able and if you’re ever in town on a Tuesday night (no rush).
‘Course I suppose I should ask my YW if they are interested, too.
We’d reimburse you for materials of course, but it’s o.k. to say “no way Jose, too much trouble!” 🙂
I just think it’s really cool!
We could totally figure out a time to do that. I showed my girls and they all just about jumped out of their skins about it. And half of them said “there’s a PP journal?”- that’s when I started hitting my head against the wall. 🙂 But yeah, I could come up, and they’re not pricey, just scrapbook paper and chipboard. The girls could bring some paper if they have some they want to use, or I could bring some.
Let me know if they’re interested, and if so we can come up with a Tuesday to do it. (That works out really well because our activities are on Weds.)
