At this moment
The girls are asleep. This is an accomplishment, seeing as Tiny stayed home from church today to take a 2 1/2 hr nap, which would have been longer had her Daddy not woken her up. He was very wise in doing so.
The Oscars are over. I was glad that Inception won things. I’m glad Natalie Portman won. Other than that, I had no horses in that race.
I am tired.
The house is mostly unpacked, there’s still a little bit in the office/computer/craft room, and a bit in my bedroom, and then we need to get the art up. We have a lot of art. Then I’ll take pictures. 🙂
I love this house, though Z is missing our old one. (Honestly, more than anything, I think she’s missing our regular schedule, which we will get back to this week, so things should be smoother. ) But really, I love this house. I love the space, I love the way everything flows in the house, the rooms are the perfect sizes for what we need, I love it. I love that we routinely have squirrels and different kinds of birds in our backyard, and while I know I keep going on about them, they’re important to me. I love have nature right out our back door, and I love that the girls can observe them without even really realizing it.
Along those lines, I’m currently reading Keeping a Nature Journal: Discover a Whole New Way of Seeing the World Around You, which is fascinating and inspiring.
I’m also rereading A Girl Of The Limberlost for bookclub, and goodness I love that book.
I’m going to go to bed. I’m just wiped out.
What’s going on with you at this moment?
A Girl of the Limberlost is one of my favorite books of all times. It’s in my top 5 for sure. Every time I read it I have to make spice cake.
Welcome to your new home. I am so glad you love it!!!
