I feel like I should post but don’t really know what to post about. I finished The Ladies of Grace Adieu by Susanna Clarke and it was really good and I really recommend it, but I don’t really feel like writing about it at the moment. It’s about magic and has a fairy tale feel to it in the darkest sense of that term, and has art by the amazing Charles Vess, so you should check it out if you like any of those things. (It’s a bunch of short stories with spot illustrations, not a comic, just so you know.)
I think I’m going to reread The Hours by Michael Cunningham next, it just seems to be calling me.

  1. Michael Cunningham is wonderful. The Hours is wonderful. (And one of the few movie adaptations of book that works too.) His latest novel was terrific too, but I can’t remember what it was called.
