Yoga babies
Seen in our house today:
Apparently it’s never too early to start. 🙂
In case you’re curious, they’re doing:
Bow pose (or “rockinghorse” as they call it)
Downward Dog
Cow pose
Upward dog (or “iguana”)
Tiny’s own version of downward dog which consists of resting on her head instead of her hands.
Eagle pose
Volcano pose (I don’t know that there’s an equivalent in grown up yoga- this is a pose from yogakids.)
Hot air balloon (also from yogakids.)
Alligator pose (again, yoga kids.)
There’s some yoga series on ondemand through Comcast. Spencer and I do them together every once and a while, he really likes them.
I want to start with Pagie, once she realizes that standing is not a yoga pose 🙂
Hilary, the YogaKids DVDs are awesome- and as is obvious from the pictures, appropriate for even tiny kids. There’s an ABC one, that’s the one Z prefers, but there’s also a Crazy to Calm one that is really good for helping them get wiggles out and also learn self calming techniques if that’s something you’re working on (as we are).
I have to get thee DVDs!!! They are totally on my To Do list now.
Wow! Your kids are much more flexible than I am. If only I could do downward dog with my head anywhere near the ground.
