What I really want
In the last post I said I wanted a trip to the library hotel, and I do, but I REALLY want to go here. There are no TVs, no anything but books and quiet spaces to read. Each room is based on a different author’s aesthetic, and it’s just so cool. I’d want to stay in the Agatha Christie, Colette, Edgar Allan Poe, Fitzgerald, or Oscar Wilde room. It’s on the Oregon coast, and I have it on good authority that it really is as cool as it sounds.
Funnily enough, we’ve never stayed there, but we’ve stayed at the Nye Beach Hotel, which is right next door. I have been inside, however, and can vouch that your source is impeccable. It is very, very cool. And one of these days, if we actually make reservations before hitting the road, we might get to stay there.
I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want…
I wonder why some authors have a more expensive room then others? Mark Twain is expensive? But why? I like his writings for sure, but what about Jane Austin?
