Photo blast from the National Museum of Nature and Science

If you’ve ever thought, “you know what Maryanne’s blog needs? More pictures of rocks, mushrooms, animals, and crazy things from a museum!” then this post is for you. If not, and you in fact feel the opposite, then all I can say is you knew I was a grog swilling pirate when you married me. Ok, I don’t know, I’m tired. 🙂  We went to the museum today. We saw a lot of stuff. Some of these pictures are likely the same as pictures from the last time we went. I’m predictable and I like what I like.

We did luck out in that there was a gem exhibition, which was perfect because we’re studying rocks right now. We even came home with some new selections for the girls’ rock collection. (Bought in the gift shop, not pilfered from the exhibition, thank you very much.)

Ok, on the pictures. There’s really no commentary because I don’t really have answers to any questions you may have other than 1. Yes, Z was supposed to be in that exhibit, 2. I have no idea what that thing is, I wish I did, 3. Yes, those are pine cones, and they’re my new favorite things.  If you have any other questions that you think I actually do know the answers to, leave them in the comments and I’ll answer them.
