Of good report
Things that are making me happy today:
Both of my children are currently asleep. This phenomenon is as rare as it is wonderful. Sometimes it’s difficult being an introvert and a mom- I get re-energized by having time to myself, and I rarely have time to myself, especially in the last couple days when Z had become very clingy. But, I have some nice quiet time to myself, and I plan to savor it.
My awesome husband. Because of my responsibilities with Stake Play I have to leave both girls at home on Wednesday nights. Somehow they routinely choose that night to collectively lose their minds, making it a rough time for their daddy. But he does it and lets me go and do something that I’m enjoying so much, and I’m so grateful for that.
My gorgeous new fabric. I ended up ordering some of Tula Pink’s collection Nest– LOVE IT!! I can’t wait to make my yummy blanket.
I’m sure there’s more, but I’m going to go read now!
Amen to being an introvert and a mom. That is me in a nutshell. . . I dread the day of no naps, but I am making a conscious effort to mold Adam into being able to play by himself for a while (some mom’s call it neglect, I call it molding). 🙂
I call it teaching them independence. That’s an important skill, right? 🙂
